Ryan brings to Summit Pacific several years of experience in Sleep Medicine, Primary Care and Psychiatry, with a short stint in Renal Transplant Surgery. He finds all areas of medicine fascinating, but he has always had a passion for behavioral health, particularly the connection it has to Sleep Medicine. He fell into Sleep Medicine after moving to the west coast and instantly became hooked. He believes sleep is a critical part of our well-being, and he is thrilled to provide care in this field as it can often be life-changing without the need for medication or surgical intervention.

Ryan grew up in a small town in western Massachusetts and graduated as salutatorian from his local high school. He earned his Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Middlebury College in Vermont where he also studied Psychology. After a long hiatus from academia, he completed the prerequisites for his medical training at the Harvard University Extension School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. From there, he obtained his Master of Medical Sciences degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.

He is a long-time runner and cross-country skier who also enjoys Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Uechi-Ryu Karate, playing acoustic guitar and mandolin, and brewing beer. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two fraternal twin girls, Freya and Aurora (Rory).
