About Brian Ottesen
Brian Ottesen brings a wealth of diverse experience to the Summit Pacific medical team. He started his career with a bachelor’s degree in criminology and dedicated eleven years to law enforcement as a patrol officer and SWAT team member.
Following his passion for healthcare, Brian earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. He then spent the next decade as a trauma nurse in Las Vegas, expertly caring for both adult and pediatric patients. His skillset expanded further through his work as a critical care transport nurse for both age groups.
With a Master’s in Nursing and a Family Nurse Practitioner degree, Brian transitioned into family practice and internal medicine, where he worked for two years. Before joining Summit Pacific, Brian worked for Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in the ER, and Urgent Care departments as a nurse practitioner for one and a half years before transitioning to GI.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys a variety of activities, including hiking, paddle boarding, traveling, cross-country Harley rides, and spending quality time with his three children and family. He is thrilled to be a part of Summit Pacific and looks forward to making a positive impact on the community.

Dr took time to answer all my questions and actually engaged in conversation, something that seems to be lacking in medicine today!

Brian Ottesen is always very attentive and explains everything in terms I can understand. He's very good at giving me all the options I have to help my health issues. He has literally changed my life, I feel so much better and my symptoms have improved dramatically.
