Summit Pacific Brings Community Together for 2026 Peak Wellness Fair & Family 5K Fun Run

September 25, 2026

ELMA, Wash. – Summit Pacific Medical Center welcomed more than 200 community members to the 2026 Peak Wellness Fair & Family 5K on Saturday, September 19, bringing together families, local organizations, healthcare resources, businesses, and community partners for a day centered on movement, connection, discovery, education, and fun.

This year’s event was built around the theme Every Step Matters, encouraging people of all ages and abilities to consider the many different ways they can take a step toward better health and well-being.

The event began with the Peak Wellness Family 5K, which welcomed 92 participants to run, walk, stroll, or roll at their own pace. Following the 5K, the Wellness Fair transformed the Summit Pacific Wellness Center into a community-wide celebration featuring more than 50 exhibitors, interactive activities, family entertainment, health and wellness resources, and opportunities to discover new activities and local organizations.

“We wanted to think beyond the traditional health fair this year and create an experience that felt like a community celebration,” said Danielle Kays, Events and Marketing Specialist at Summit Pacific Medical Center. “Wellness looks different for everyone. It can mean moving your body, learning something new, connecting with others, finding a resource you need, or simply trying something for the first time. Every Step Matters was about creating space for all of those things.”

The event featured a wide variety of hands-on experiences, including a Rock Wall, Blender Bike, bike rodeo and helmet giveaway, bike repair, free life vests, children’s activities, health screenings, demonstrations, and interactive booths. More than 120 Rock Wall climbs took place throughout the event, 60+ smoothies were made on the Blender Bike, and over 50 bike helmets were distributed.

The event also brought together 52 exhibitors representing healthcare organizations, nonprofits, local businesses, schools, recreational organizations, social service agencies, and community groups. The diversity of exhibitors helped reinforce the event’s broader message that wellness extends beyond traditional healthcare.

“It was my family’s first time attending, but it won’t be our last. It was a really well put together event, and everyone I talked to had a great time with the 5K,” said Brandon Carman of Carman’s Poop Scooping, a community exhibitor and Every Step Matters award winner.
